Notice Regarding Stimulus Payments

January 28, 2021

If you have any questions regarding your stimulus payment, you must consult the IRS. Below is a link to the IRS stimulus resource page:

  • When will I receive my payment?

There is no way of knowing when you will receive your payment until it actually hits your account, and there is no way for financial institutions to know either. If you are unsure as to how you received your last payment or your deposit information has changed, visit the above IRS link for more information.

  • My stimulus payment came in the form of a card, how can I access this money?

To access money on your prepaid card, visit an ATM around town if you would like cash; do keep in mind that many ATM machines have per transaction limits (i.e., $200 per withdrawal) but will sometimes allow more than one transaction per visit. You can also make purchases directly with the card, just swipe the card wherever you are shopping to make a purchase. Be sure to read the instructions on how to activate the card if necessary and for setting up a PIN (some cards may require a PIN and some may not).

*Firefighters Credit Union does not have, at any branch, an ATM or cash advance machine to be able to take cash out from your card balance. Institutions that do offer these services cannot deny you these services if they are available; you do not have to do regular business with them to use these services.
